I’ve taken many classes in healing and massage therapy and continue to learn and enjoy this work always incorporating new information and helpful techniques. Sessions with me most often include craniosacral therapy and myofascial release as I find these to be universal in healing. My initial training was in Sports and Clinical Therapies. I like to focus on treating injuries while still addressing the person as a whole and as a result pretty much never offer half hour massages. Some of the other styles of massage that I have studied are Thai massage, Tui Na, Ashiatsu, Sarga, Reiki, gua sha and cupping, including fire cupping. I like to look at this as my tool belt and bring out appropriate tools to accomplish a task. In my 20 plus years I’ve learned how to assess injury and assign helpful exercises for home care that range from Qi Gong to yoga and even a few things your physical therapist might use.
