What’s in a Name?
EVERYTHING
The intention of joansands.com is to have a placeholder so that long standing clients are able to find me without too much of a struggle. So, without further ado, let me introduce Transcendence Health and Wellness, llc – transcendencellc.com. The website itself is a work in progress with the intention to add services as I get settled in.
Massage Therapy – Craniosacral Therapy
Deep Tissue and Light Touch Trauma Release
The current menu is focused on deep tissue techniques and Craniosacral Therapy with the added bonus of a barefoot myofascial modality that I’ve been working with more recently.
I’m well versed in sports massage and injury recovery and have been doing these for over 20 years, originally starting in 2002. Over time I’ve added new techniques and enhanced my understanding of others.
Sessions are customized to your individual needs and may incorporate gua sha (which means scraping sand), cupping, myofascial release (deep and slow), application of heat or cooling, Chinese liniments, essential oils, or barefoot techniques.
Craniosacral Therapy sessions are only available for 90 minute increments as they need longer time to allow the body to sink into a relaxed mode and unwind. It’s a light touch modality that is performed fully clothed. Many times clients experience emotional release or memories and images that allow healing. Even after the session is over the healing continues through dreams and sometimes spontaneous emotional events. Please allow for some peaceful time to process your experience after your session and remember that proper hydration is important.
Auto Insurance Billing
After the accident – Doctor’s Referral Needed
If you’ve recently been in motor vehicle accident Oregon law ensures that auto insurance will pay for your recovery for up to a year and sometimes beyond. With a doctor’s referral and the proper information you can recover with Massage, acupuncture, physical therapy and chiropractic care. There is no need to pay anything at the time of your service as long as you come in prepared for your visit.
Moving Forward – Literally
I can help you with that
What will it take to get you moving forward again, pain free? Massage and bodywork can help with that.
See you soon,
Joan
